I became a mother at 40, and when we brought our daughter home from the NICU, she weighed just 4 pounds, 3 ounces. Like many parents, I wanted to do everything possible to protect her. I found myself paying closer attention to the products we used every day and asking an important question: What exactly are we putting on our skin?
Having worked in pharmacy for over 20 years, I understood something many people don't often think about: what goes on your skin doesn't simply sit on the surface. Your skin is your body's largest organ, and many ingredients can be absorbed through it. My experience in healthcare taught me the importance of paying attention not only to what we put in our bodies, but also to what we put on them.
As a new mom, that knowledge took on an entirely new meaning. I wanted products that were safe, effective, and gentle enough for my tiny NICU baby, yet nourishing enough for the entire family. The more I researched ingredients, the more passionate I became about creating skincare that families could feel confident using every day.
That journey became the inspiration for Aribella.
